Our history
Sandra Maarsen, owner and managing director of Blumen Maarsen AG, is a federally certified master florist and has worked in her profession in Switzerland, Holland, Ecuador and the USA. In 2008 she took over the business from her father, Christiaan Maarsen, Dutch with Switzerland as her adopted country. The location of Blumen Maarsen, Moserstrasse 9 in Bern, used to be Blumen Bracher, where Christiaan Maarsen worked from the seventies; he then took over the business in 1985 and it was now called Blumen Maarsen. Sandra Maarsen continues to cultivate her Dutch roots, speaks the language and also enjoys buying flowers at florist markets there.
