AION.ART is also involved in 'pro bono' cultural projects. The main aim is to allow access to works from private collections, which would otherwise not be accessible to the public, in order to be able to share and collect information, which, like pieces, will reconstruct the 'general picture' of the historical artistic period and the specific painter and his 'corpus of paintings'.
On the occasion of the 400th Anniversary of the foundation of the Confraternity of St. Charles Borromeo in Lugano, we had the honour of exhibiting, presenting and publishing what scientific analysis has shown to be the prototype of the subject St. Francis in Meditation by Michelangelo Mersi da Caravaggio.

Madonna and Child - by P. P. Rubens

Over time, various 'pro bono' projects have been organised for the Brotherhood of St. Charles Borromeo in Lugano, which have had the 'common thread' of bringing sacred art paintings from private collections, from the period of the Counter-Reformation, dear to St. Charles Borromeo, with relevance to the area, to the Church in Via Nassa and following the 'via pulchritudinis', thus increasing the attendance of believers and non-believers alike.
It was possible to 'measure' the enormous success thanks to the exponential increase in the number of candles lit also on the occasion of the exhibition of the "Madonna and Child" by P.P.Rubens (ex Henry Ford Collection), where many believers, scholars and lovers of art and history came to the Church of San Carlo Borromeo, lingering longer in admiration, reflection and prayer.
